Its location is a huge draw, with the London Eye, Tate Modern, Borough Market and Shakespeare’s Globe all within easy reach. We love it for families who want a stylish London base where you can step out of the hotel and straight into the action.

Transport
Sea Containers London is on the South Bank in central London, right on the Thames, so a car really isn’t necessary for a family city break.
Nearest Airport: London City Airport, around 30–40 minutes by car. Heathrow is approximately 45–60 minutes
Nearest Tube: Southwark Station, around 5 minutes’ walk. Blackfriars is approximately 7 minutes’ walk and Waterloo around 12 minutes’ walk.
Good to Know
Leave the car at home: Sea Containers London is brilliantly positioned for a family city break, with the South Bank, London Eye, Tate Modern, Borough Market and plenty of restaurants all within walking distance. Public transport is also excellent.
Parking is available nearby: If you do drive, parking isn't included and central London parking can be expensive, so I'd recommend checking the hotel's current parking arrangements and charges before travelling.
Book breakfast carefully: Breakfast is available at the hotel but is an additional cost unless included in your chosen rate. With plenty of cafés and restaurants around South Bank, families have lots of alternatives.
Make the most of South Bank: The riverside location is particularly good for families, with an easy, mostly flat walk along the Thames connecting you to the London Eye, Tate Modern, Borough Market and beyond.
When to visit: London is busy throughout the year, but travelling midweek or outside school holidays can mean fewer crowds and potentially better room rates. Christmas is magical around the South Bank, but expect higher demand.
