What to do: Explore Cheddar Gorge and caves, walk or cycle the Strawberry Line, discover the village, enjoy the campsite's play areas and head out into the Mendip Hills.

The Yellow Submarine is a completely unique glamping experience, with a double bed, a single bunk bed and a sofa that converts into another single bed. Inside you'll find a galley kitchen with a hob, fridge, sink, crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, while outside there's your own BBQ, firepit and seating area. Linen, pillows and towels are provided.
Family-friendly features: Children of all ages are welcome, although the bunk bed is designed for children. There are lots of family-friendly facilities around Petruth Paddocks, including a children's play area, outdoor space and plenty of room for kids to explore.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted in the Yellow Submarine.
Practical: Free private parking is available. The submarine itself does not have a bathroom, so families use the campsite's shared toilet and shower facilities, which are a short walk away.
Breakfast: This is a self-catering stay. The galley kitchen has the essentials for preparing family meals, while the campsite has a food shack serving breakfast rolls, coffee, lunches and other food at certain times of year.
Good to know: The Yellow Submarine has a minimum two-night stay.

There is a bus stop around a 10-minute walk away, with services towards Weston-super-Mare and Yatton.
Good to Know
A car is useful but not essential: You can walk into Cheddar from the campsite, with a foot and cycle path leading directly to the village, while buses connect with nearby train stations.
Cheddar is walkable: Allow around 10–15 minutes to reach the village, with Cheddar Gorge around another 5–10 minutes on foot from there.
Shared facilities: The submarine doesn't have its own toilet or shower, so you'll need to use the campsite facilities. This is worth knowing with younger children, particularly for night-time trips.
Make the most of the campsite: There's a children's play area, food shack, small shop and plenty of outdoor space, with pizza nights and other food options available seasonally.
Great for an adventure break: Cheddar Gorge, caves, walking and cycling are all close by, making this a brilliant base for an active family weekend.
