One of our favourite Eurocamp parks for family adventures, with brilliant pools, loads to do and easy access to incredible local sights including Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo.

Set in the beautiful Brittany countryside, Eurocamp Domaine des Ormes is one of Eurocamp’s larger holiday parks, with an impressive choice of pools, activities and accommodation for families of all ages. We love it for outdoorsy families who want plenty to do without leaving the park, while its location makes it a brilliant base for exploring Mont Saint-Michel, Saint-Malo and Brittany’s beautiful coastline. From treehouses and safari tents to self-catering cabins and camping pitches, there’s a real sense of adventure here, without sacrificing those all-important family comforts.

There’s a brilliant choice of self-catering accommodation, from classic and modern cabins to unique cottages, treehouses and safari tents, as well as traditional camping pitches. Summer prices start from around £300, making it possible to choose the level of comfort and style that works for your family and budget.
Getting there
Domaine des Ormes is best suited to families travelling by car, with the park surrounded by countryside and plenty to explore beyond the resort. Saint-Malo is the closest ferry port, making the Brittany Ferry a straightforward option, while LeShuttle or a cheaper crossing to Calais can be turned into a fun French road trip. If you have the time, we love the idea of adding an overnight stop in Le Havre or another French town and making the journey part of the adventure rather than simply a long drive.

Good to Know
A car is a must: The park is surrounded by countryside and isn’t practical for walking into the nearest town, so having your own transport is essential.
Make the journey part of the holiday: Turn the longer journey into part of the adventure with a French road trip or take the Brittany Ferry and start your holiday with an overnight crossing.
Choose your crossing: Saint-Malo is the closest ferry port. P&O can be a cheaper option, but it’s around 4 hours’ drive from the park. LeShuttle is the quickest crossing at around 35 minutes from Folkestone to Calais, giving you more time to enjoy a French road trip.
Consider a Le Havre stopover: If you use the cheaper crossing, stop in Le Havre for a night and turn the journey into a proper road-trip adventure rather than one long drive.
Outdoor space comes as standard: Each cabin has its own small garden area and decking, so pack scooters, bikes and outdoor toys for the children.
Download before you go: Wi-Fi and mobile signal can be patchy around the park, so download films and TV shows onto the kids’ tablets before leaving the UK.
The pools are free: The indoor and outdoor pool complexes are included with your stay and don’t require booking, which makes spontaneous swimming trips easy.
Paid activities can be great value: Some experiences are surprisingly affordable. A 30-minute pony ride was €13 in 2026, making it an easy treat without blowing the holiday budget.
Kids’ clubs: Kids’ clubs are available during peak season, giving children the chance to make friends and enjoy activities while parents get a little downtime.
TLAC Verdict
Tasha has personally visited Domaine des Ormes with her young family, staying in a Comfort 3-bedroom cabin which worked brilliantly for them. At the time, her oldest was 7 and loved the zip wire, while her youngest, aged 3, was happiest on the pony ride, and they both loved the pools. We also love the location, with Saint-Malo and Mont-Saint-Michel both within easy reach for brilliant family day trips, with Mont-Saint-Michel being an absolute must-see. It’s a fantastic choice for outdoorsy, nature-loving families who also enjoy exploring cultural landmarks.

In July 2024 we took our two kids then aged 3 + 7 to Eurocamp Domaine des Ormes in Brittany. After a great experience at Eurocamp La Croix du Vieux Pont, Paris earlier in the year we were very excited about our week away. With a few day trips planned and some fun activities in the parc, it was going to be a holiday to remember.
