The riverside town of Greenwich is a great place to stay or explore with little ones. With easy access to the city centre via the Thames boats, underground tubes and over ground trains - it’s the perfect spot for families.

One of mny favorite parks in London with unmatched views of Canary Wharf and beyond. Let the kids run free on the vast open lawns or explore the Queen’s Orchard, a hidden gem full of flowers and wildlife. Don’t miss the chance to spot deer in the Wilderness Deer Park, a magical experience for children. After all the exploring, grab an ice cream and relax by the boating pond or take a gentle walk down to Greenwich Market, where family-friendly street food awaits. With so much to see and do, Greenwich Park is a fantastic spot for a fun-filled family day out!
Royal Observatory Greenwich

Greenwich is famous for many reason. The first has to be the home of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) where the north and south hemispheres meet meaning you can literally be in two places at once! Visit the Royal Observatory Greenwich to see the museum and London’s only planetarium. And of course, time travel!
To get the the Royal Observatory, you have to walk through Greenwich Park. An amazing activity in itself as it boasts some of the best park views in London! With views of The Royal Navy College, Canary Wharf and the City skyline - its a great picnic spot or visit one of the many cafes. Greenwich Park also hosts a deer sanctuary.
The Cutty Sark
Cutty Sark
The Cutty Sark is a famed British clipper ship nestled on the shore of the river Thames in Greenwich. Constructed in 1869, the Cutty Sark was one of the fastest ships of its time and now exists as a museum for the public to visit and learn about the vessel's rich maritime history. Once onboard, you can learn the history of this famous clipper, enjoy river views from onboard and finish off with an afternoon tea. You can even climb the mast for a truly unique London activity!
Old Royal Naval College
Old Royal Naval College
From a Royal Palace, to a residence for naval Pensioners, to a naval training college, and now a renowned film destination, the Old Royal Naval College site has welcomed some of the most influential figures in history. Perhaps the most famous part of the college is the painted hall. With over 600 painteded characters, here you can discover the history of the 3,700 square metres of Baroque walls and ceilings. A great activity with kids is Skittle Alley. Created in 1873, for the use of officers in training and is still in action for visitors to play today.
Greenwich Market
Established in 1737, Greenwich Market is not to be missed. Under an elegant canopy, you can browse food, fashion and more anytime of the year. A great place for foodies and where you can find a little London treasure to take home with you.
Foot Tunnel
For an unusual activity, head blow the River Thames on the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. Free to use - it will transport you from Greenwich to Millwall.
The O2
Visiting the O2 in London with children is a fun and exciting experience, as the venue offers a range of activities suitable for all ages. The O2 is home to the famous Up at The O2 experience, where families with children over 8 years old can embark on a thrilling 90-minute climb to the top of the iconic dome, offering panoramic views of London.

Inside the O2, there are also family-friendly dining options, as well as a number of entertainment options. The O2's Cineworld is perfect for a movie outing, and there's an Indigo at The O2 venue, which hosts family-friendly performances, concerts, and events.
