Our Budget-Friendly Disneyland Paris Holiday: Eurocamp + One Magical Night

Disneyland Paris is on so many family bucket lists, but it’s no secret that the costs can add up fast. Between park tickets, hotels, meals, and travel, it can feel out of reach for many families. The good news? With some savvy planning, it doesn’t need to break the bank.

In 2024, we created the perfect budget-friendly Disney break by combining a family Eurocamp stay in Northern Paris with a one-night stopover at Le Grand Magic Hotel, giving us the best of both worlds: relaxation, space, and plenty of activities at Eurocamp, plus a magical Disney day with a stress-free overnight stay close to the parks.

Here’s how we made it work—plus some tips to help you do Disney without blowing your budget.

Adding the Disney Magic: Le Grand Magic Hotel

Since we had just one day at Disneyland Paris, we wanted to make it as smooth and magical as possible. That’s why we added a night at the Le Grand Magic Hotel, located just 10 minutes away.

The whimsical décor, family-friendly rooms (with bunk beds the kids adored), and magical touches like the 7pm light show made it feel almost like a Disney hotel—without the price tag.

Most importantly, the free shuttle bus took us straight to the park in 15 minutes. No parking stress, no navigating public transport with tired children—just a quick and easy start to our Disney day.

We paid £162 for a family room, which included buffet breakfast, free parking, use of the pool, and access to the hotel’s gardens and lake. Compared to Disney’s official hotels, which started at around £500 a night for the same dates, it felt like incredible value.

Booking Eurocamp on a Budget

After our day at Disneyland Paris, we headed north to Eurocamp Le Croix du Vieux Pont in Berny-Rivière, just 2.5 hours from Calais and around 1 hour 20 minutes from Disneyland Paris.

The biggest saving? We booked our stay through the Sun Holidays deal and paid just £9.50 per night—which worked out at only £41 for 3 nights! It’s one of the cheapest ways to secure a family-friendly base near Disney, so definitely keep an eye out when Sun Holidays run their offers.

To save even more, we travelled via the Eurotunnel using Tesco Clubcard points, which covered most of the cost of the crossing. Driving ourselves meant we could easily pack food, snacks, and plenty of home comforts—another big win when you’re watching the pennies.

Life at Eurocamp Le Croix du Vieux Pont

Eurocamp was a hit with the kids. The site has a fantastic pool complex (indoor and outdoor pools, splash zones, and waterslides), plus trampolines, mini golf, bowling, and canoeing on the lake. The on-site beach was where we spent most of our time, and it felt like a proper holiday within itself.

Our three-bed Comfort Lodge had everything we needed, including a terrace and loungers. Self-catering made a huge difference to the budget—we stocked up at the local Intermarché and prepared meals at the lodge instead of paying high prices for food.

With Paris just 1 hour 15 minutes away and Disneyland Paris about 1 hour 20 minutes, the park was the perfect base for a holiday that mixed downtime with adventure. You could easily spend a week here exploring not only Disneyland and Paris but the beautiful countryside surrounding. With the indoor facilities great for the kids its worth looking into for off season trips to Disneyland as well.

Our Budget Disney Formula

  • Accommodation: £9.50 per night at Eurocamp through the Sun Holidays deal.

  • Travel: Eurotunnel crossing paid using Tesco Clubcard points.

  • Food: Mostly self-catered at Eurocamp, occasional meals out.

  • Disney Day: One-night stopover at Le Grand Magic Hotel to make the most of our single park day.

By combining Eurocamp + Le Grand Magic Hotel, we created a Disney holiday that was magical, convenient, and—most importantly—affordable. The kids had the time of their lives, and we didn’t feel like we’d overspent to make it happen.

Disneyland Paris

If you’re dreaming of Disneyland Paris but worried about the costs, don’t write it off just yet. Think outside the box: book a budget-friendly base like Eurocamp for the bulk of your holiday, use reward points for travel, and add a one-night stopover near the park to make the most of your Disney day.

It’s the perfect way to enjoy a mix of fun, relaxation, and Disney sparkle—without the eye-watering price tag.
