manchester: Where to Enjoy Afternoon Tea with Kids
Today we head to Manchester, where Charlotte aka @TheMumVibe shows us the best afternoon tea spots for families.
The unique thing about The Mum Vibe is that with all recommendations there is ALWAYS something for parents to enjoy. With this in mind I am so excited to contribute and talk about something which our family LOVES - afternoon tea experiences! Having experienced some amazing afternoon teas in Manchester one thing is certain - venues and places often perhaps perceived as suitable ‘just for adults’ continue to surprise and delight with amazing baby and family friendly service and delicious food on offer for both parents and children.
Here are three iconic hotels which warmly welcome families for afternoon tea

Nestled along the River Irwell, The Lowry Hotel is a Manchester landmark known for its contemporary style and spacious interiors. Families will appreciate the ample room for prams and the attentive staff who ensure a comfortable experience. The River Restaurant offers a delightful afternoon tea with a menu featuring an array of savouries, freshly baked scones, and indulgent pastries. Children under 12 can enjoy a specially crafted afternoon tea for £12.50, making it a treat for all ages. As part of the experience were even brought a beautifully served fruit platter and even a special sweet treat as were celebrating our wedding anniversary.

A true Manchester icon, The Midland Hotel has been serving afternoon tea since 1903. The spacious Tea Room provides plenty of room for families and prams. Hey Little Cupcake
As well as iconic hotels offering afternoon tea we also recommend the one and only ‘Hey Little Cupcake’ based in Spinningfields, Manchester for well thought out themed afternoon teas. We visited for a Halloween themed afternoon tea last year and it was so much fun.
