EXPLORE THE AREA
BUTTS FARM RARE BREEDS
A much more local-feeling alternative to the bigger Cotswold farm parks. Butts Farm is just outside South Cerney and combines rare-breed animals with a farm shop and tea room. It's an easy option for a slower morning with younger children before heading back to the lakes
COTSWOLD COUNTRY PARK & BEACH
For a proper summer adventure, head to the inland beach for paddling, sandcastles and swimming. Older children can try AquaVenture, while younger ones can stick to the shallows, beach and pedalos. It's the Cotswolds' slightly unexpected answer to a seaside day.
NEIGH BRIDGE COUNTRY PARK
Head to this quieter corner of the Water Park for an easy family wander, birdwatching and time beside the water. It's much more peaceful than the busy beach areas and a lovely choice with toddlers, particularly when you want some fresh air without committing to a big walk.

The ultimate slow Cotswolds route with kids, including villages, scenic stops and flexible travel ideas for a weekend or longer.
